What happens after you reach out
How fast will someone respond?
A real person—usually the founder or a State Captain—reads every message. Most replies go out within two business days. Volunteer and press inquiries can take a little longer because we route them to the right dad in the right state.
Who sees what I write?
Only the moderation team. We never post your message publicly, never share it with the other parent or their attorney, and never sell your information. If you'd rather not use your real name, that's completely fine.
Can you give me legal advice for my case?
No. We share educational information and lived experience, but we are not attorneys and cannot advise on your specific facts. What we can do is help you understand the process, point you to your state's law summary, and connect you with a fathers' rights attorney.
I want to help other dads. Where do I start?
Choose "Volunteer" above or visit the State Captains map. If your state has an open seat, you can apply directly there. If it already has a captain, we'll introduce you so you can join their local meetups and mentoring.
Something in the forum crossed the line. What should I do?
Choose "Report a forum issue", paste the thread link, and tell us what happened. Moderators review reports daily and act on harassment, doxxing, and unsafe advice. You can also read the community guidelines linked in the footer.
Is this an emergency line?
It is not. This form is checked during normal hours only. If a child is in danger call 911. If you are in emotional crisis, call or text 988—counselors answer 24/7 and many have helped fathers in exactly your situation.
A Father's Fight is a peer-support and legal-information community, not a law firm. Nothing you send through this form creates an attorney–client relationship, and we cannot represent you in court.
